Collecting Cars has reported it sold 102 lots across Australia and New Zealand for a total of more than A$7.3 million (about NZ$8.1m) last month.

The online auction platform, which specialises in classic, performance and collectible cars, says those figures are new July highs for the company.

The results mean year-to-date it has 230 more sold lots than during the first seven months of last year, an increase of 54 per cent.

Consignment sales year-to-date are also up 126 per cent from the end of July 2024.

Lee Hallett, head of Apac at Collecting Cars, says: “Winter isn’t hampering buyers’ appetites for collectible cars in Australia and New Zealand, and we have some special cars scheduled for auction in the coming months.”

Sale highlights from July include a 1967 Ford Mustang 289 – GT500 Eleanor Tribute, pictured, fetching A$160,000, a 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith selling for A$309,500 and a 2019 Lamborghini Huracan Evo going under the hammer for A$375,000.
