All-new coupe on its way

Skoda’s all-new Enyaq Coupe is set to start being delivered to consumers in New Zealand from early October with the zero-emissions model the latest addition to the marque’s line-up.

The vehicle is available in a 150kW powertrain with rear-wheel-drive and equipped with an 82kWh battery. It can accelerate from 0-100kph in 8.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 160kph. 

The rear-wheel drive model has a towing capacity for a braked trailer weighing up to 1,000kg on gradients of up to 12 per cent.

Skoda notes the four-door coupe’s lines are accentuated by a dark-tinted panoramic glass roof, which is the largest in the carmaker’s current portfolio, and it is fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels.

The interior is available exclusively in the Sportline trim, which boasts Suedia-upholstered sports seats with integrated headrests and a heated, three-spoke leather multifunction sports steering wheel. 

Key vehicle functions can be operated using the 13-inch central infotainment screen and the 5.3-inch digital cockpit is supplemented by a head-up display that allows the driver to keep an eye on driving data and vehicle status at all times.

The headlights of the Enyaq Coupe are equipped with LED modules for low beam, high beam and daytime running lights as standard. 

Within the full-LED Matrix headlights, each high-beam module features 24 LEDs, which can be controlled individually and enable the driver to have the high beam on at all times without dazzling other road users. 

Top-end full-LED taillights are standard in the Enyaq Coupe Sportline and the boot measures 570 litres.

On the safety front, there are nine airbags and a number of driver-assistance systems, such as active support for longitudinal and lateral steering, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, traffic jam assist and emergency assist.
