Ace deal for Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz New Zealand has announced it will be the official automotive partner for next year’s ASB Classic, marking the beginning of a long-term relationship with the annual tennis tournament.
Under the partnership, Mercedes-Benz NZ will provide an exclusive fleet of vehicles to support the Auckland event’s operations, including player and VIP transportation.
It says the collaboration comes as the brand prepares for a wave of new SUV launches in New Zealand over the coming months. Among them are the all-new electric GLC and all-new electric GLB, plus the latest iterations of the GLE and GLS are due to arrive in November.
Helen Sunley, general manager, says: “We are excited to begin this journey with the ASB Classic and look forward to playing a role in enhancing the experience for players, guests and fans for years to come.
“With an exceptional line-up of new models arriving in New Zealand, the timing could not be better to begin this journey.”
The new partnership reflects Mercedes-Benz’s global commitment to professional tennis via its long-term association with the Women’s Tennis Association.
The brand says the ASB Classic’s focus on performance, precision and excellence makes it a natural fit for Mercedes-Benz NZ.
Nico Lamperin, director of the tournament held in January, adds: “We are delighted to welcome Mercedes-Benz New Zealand to the ASB Classic family.
“Mercedes-Benz is one of the world’s most respected premium brands, and its commitment to excellence aligns strongly with our vision for the tournament.”
