AutoFlip New Zealand is preparing to launch a new service for dealers that will provide exclusive access to Gulliver Japan’s stock of about 20,000 used vehicles.

The platform has struck an agreement with the largest vehicle purchaser and retailer in Japan, which means it will start offering a “comprehensive vehicle import solution” from mid to late November.

The partnership offers New Zealand dealers a door-to-door service that includes inspections and quality checks, processing and shipping, and Customs clearance and vehicle compliance.

AutoFlip guarantees all vehicles will comply with New Zealand regulations and be supplied to the NZTA’s MR2A standard.

Mac Passmore, chief executive at AutoFlip NZ, says the platform for dealers to buy and sell vehicles is excited to bring this opportunity to dealers.

“Our partnership with Gulliver provides Kiwi dealerships access to a previously untapped inventory,” he adds.

“With delayed payment terms in New Zealand dollars for the vehicle and all aspects of importing, the process is effortless. This is a game-changer for the New Zealand automotive market.”

Passmore explains the new service is designed to provide straightforward access to quality stock before anyone else in the world while simplifying the vehicle import process.

“It’s a huge amount of inventory that we can make accessible and super easy for New Zealand dealers to get,” he told Autofile Online.

“The feedback we have received from dealers is that stock from Japan is getting hard to source and this should open up a new stream for them as we’re enabling access to up to 20,000 vehicles for the market.”
