Update on the progress of MOL's PCCs

An update has been released on progress of the Mitsui Osk Line (MOL) car carriers delayed by the discovery of BMSB. Courageous Ace The Courageous Ace is still outside New Zealand waters waiting for talks between the line and the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) as to what the vessel's discharge plan will be. Glovis Caravel The Glovis Caravel has been fogged as planned. Once the fogging has dissipated, the crew will start gathering information on what they find. After the crew have recorded the results of their investigation, which will take a few days, they will review what the next steps will be. The aim is to be sure that there are no bugs on board before they bring the vessel into New Zealand waters. If MPI inspect the vessel and find any bugs, Glovis Caravel's status will change and consequently, the vessel will turn into one of the 20 per cent inspection vessels and will go to the back of the queue. Morning Christina Morning Christina is expected in New Zealand around the 5th  March. This vessel will need to be fogged and inspected on arrival. Once the vessel's discharge is guaranteed, invoices will be sent and customs clearance will be underway. To ensure that the cars can be released as quickly as possible, payments towards invoices should be paid as soon as they are received and all OBL’S and surrenders are in place.
