Kiwi legend joins BMW

Posted on 01 March, 2015

Former double international Jeff ‘Goldie’ Wilson has become a brand ambassador for BMW New Zealand. Wilson is renowned for playing 60 tests for the All Blacks and as a cricket all-rounder for the Black Caps. He’s now working for Sky Sports as a presenter and sporting commentator. Jeff currently drives a BMW X5 and is enjoying the practical size of the vehicle. “With a young family in tow, it’s just perfect for getting out and about on the weekend and taking all manner of items away with us. “However, during the week I tend to be in the car on my own and amongst other features love the ConnectedDrive functionality. “It’s so handy when driving from meeting to meeting being able to free-call the Concierge Service and ask for any manner of things, such as the nearest parking building at the destination or even a particular restaurant on the route.” BMW Managing Director, Nina Englert, says the addition of Jeff Wilson would add a sporting element to the line-up of BMW ambassadors. “We look forward to involving him in events such as the BMW NZ Golf Open in March, our Ultimate Drive Days as well as Alpine xDrive Experience.” Wilson joins entrepreneurial shoe designer Kathryn Wilson and Michelin star chef Josh Emett as fellow BMW ambassadors.
