Posted on 29 October, 2014

Auckland City Toyota is partnering with the Bike The Bridge – an annual event that sees participants to cycling over Auckland Harbour Bridge in support Multiple Sclerosis Auckland. Rick Armstrong, a supporter of pedal power, and his company have partnered with many cycling and fitness-related events in the past, including the Armstrong Motor Group Wellington Marathon. “I’ve found keeping myself active is the best way to stay mentally alert in business and it’s a fantastic stress-reducer,” says Rick Armstrong, general manager of the Armstrong Motor Group. “I’m happy to get behind anything that promotes that sort of activity within our community. And, of course, riding over the bridge is an opportunity that doesn’t come along every day. I can’t wait to participate in the ride”. The event is on November 16 has 105km, 50km and 20km options. The shorter distance is ideal for families and is more achievable for those who aren’t regular cyclists. All riders finish at North Harbour’s QBE Stadium where spectator-friendly events will be staged for primary school children and pre-schoolers. “Auckland City Toyota tends to align itself with events or organisations that improve Auckland and the life of its people”, adds Steve Vermeulen, the dealership’s marketing manager.
