New recalls for Toyota

Posted on 11 February, 2016

Toyota is recalling about 32,000 vehicles in the US because the roof-mounted airbags can inflate without a crash. The call backs cover the Tundra and Sequoia from 2005-06 model years, the Land Cruiser from 2003-06 and 2004-06 4-Runner. The GX 470 from 2004-26 and Lexus LX 470 from the 2003-06 are also included. Toyota says the fault has been caused by improper programming in the airbag control computer. There have been no crashes caused by the problem, but the marque says it has reports of injuries including scrapes and ringing in people’s ears.
