New owner for Kia dealership

Wayne Kirk Motor Group has announced its acquisition of Napier Kia from the Ebbett Group and it will take over running the dealership from March 28.

The company says it intends to integrate Napier Kia into its existing operations and the dealership will continue at its established Tennyson Street sales and Carlyle Street service facilities. 

It explains this aims to ensure customers continue to receive the level of service they expect from Wayne Kirk Motor Group, which has been operating in Hawke’s Bay since 1990, and the Kia brand.

Wayne Kirk, founder of the group, says: “We are extremely proud to be given the opportunity to take ownership of the Napier Kia brand.

“Our commitment remains unwavering in providing customers with the best possible service while maintaining the legacy and reputation of Kia in Napier.”

Details of the deal were announced by the company on social media on March 26 and Kirk’s son, Sam Kirk, will become dealer principal of the site.

The group also acknowledges Dave and Aileen Howarth, dealer principal and business manager of Ebbett Hawke’s Bay respectively, and the Ebbett Group for their support and assistance throughout the transition process. 

“Their collaboration has been instrumental in ensuring a smooth and efficient transfer of ownership, setting the stage for continued success and growth in Napier’s market,” the Facebook post adds.
