IMVIA’s night of celebration

The Imported Motor Vehicle Industry Association’s silver anniversary evening of celebration has been hailed a great success. Chief executive David Vinsen described the black-tie function at Auckland’s Pullman Hotel on October 17 as a “wonderful, glittering occasion”. It was attended by about 420 members of the vehicle trade and supply chain. READ: David Vinsen's speech Comedian Jeremy Corbett was master of ceremonies with guests coming from all over New Zealand. They included Maurice Williamson as well as invitees from Japan and Australia. People enjoyed a three-course meal and were treated to some great entertainment. The presentations included Rod Milner receiving the “supreme award”. He and fellow founding members of the Licensed Motor Vehicle Dealers Association were honoured on the night – Peter Johnston, Phil Pacey, Dick Gray and Alistair Sheard. Fred Lewis’ award was received by Chris Stevenson.
