Biosecurity measures for used vehicles arriving in New Zealand from Japan are to be tightened by having them processed offshore. The government is planning to introduce the requirement by amending its import health standard with a draft implementation timetable expected to be released early next year. Plus: Any untreated vehicles from the US may be sent back under strict rules intended to keep this country free of brown marmorated stink bugs.
