Toyota executive lands new role

Automotive Holdings Group (AHG) has appointed former Toyota executive Tony Cramb to the role of chief operating officer.

Previously, Cramb worked with Toyota Australia for 30 years in a range of senior leadership roles including sales, marketing and operations.

Most recently, Cramb was Toyota's executive director of sales and marketing responsible for leading their transformation through a period of unprecedented change as local manufacturing ceased.

AHG managing director John McConnell said Cramb has a wealth of experience in the automotive industry.

"Equally as important as his industry knowledge, Tony is an exceptional leader," added McConnell.

"He will bring a collaborative and engaging style of leadership to our franchised automotive business and I am confident he will work effectively with the leadership team to set the broader strategy and expectations for delivery."

Cramb begins his new role on October 22.
