June was another month when used imported commercial vehicles failed to rally with sales totalling 999 units, an 11.5 per cent decrease compared to June 2017’s total of 1,129.

Year-to-date, 5,880 used imported commercials have been sold, a decrease of 7.6 per cent compared with the first six months of 2017 when 6,362 units had been sold.

Last month saw a mixed bag in terms of regional sales. Out of the main regions, Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin all recorded falls in used commercial vehicle sales.

Auckland’s sales fell by 11.5 per cent, or 63 units, last month compared with June 2017.

Dunedin recorded a big loss with a 46.7 per cent fall (21 units) compared to the same period in 2017 and Wellington sold 60 units for a 24.1 per cent decrease.

However, Invercargill and Palmerston North enjoyed healthy increases with 58.3 and 39.1 per cent respectively.
