The Alpine A110 Premiere Edition has been crowned 2019’s Track-day Toy of the Year by leading luxury title Robb Report Australia & New Zealand.

The magazine’s car of the year awards brought together nine category-leading vehicles – collectively worth about $3 million – in contention for the ultimate title.

Judged over two days on roads winding through New South Wales, each entrant was profiled and evaluated for its performance.

On the A110, editor-in-chief Michael Stahl says: “It’s the complete Alpine package. It enthralled our judges, from those who showed wide-eyed surprise at its stirring acceleration and hard-edged exhaust rasp, to super-car owners who relished the fantastic agility of a mid-engined chassis with the welcoming ‘chuckability’ of a high-powered hatchback.”
