The Colonial Motor Company has now recorded five years of profit growth, with profits after tax for the 2014 financial year coming in at $18.22m – up by 31 per cent on 2013. Colonial owns 12 mainly Ford and Mazda dealerships across the country and acquired Jeff Gray BMW in August. Chairman Jim Gibbons spoke to NZX about the company’s growth plans, its family shareholding and move into the luxury market.
