Used commercial vehicle sales remain high

Used commercial sales rose by 9.9 per cent last month with 908 vehicles sold - up from 826 sold during same time last year.  Toyota topped the list in terms of most vehicles sold, with 452 units, an increase of 15.6 per cent on the same time last year when 391 vehicles were sold. Nissan followed with 187 vehicles sold, a percentage decrease of 5.6 per cent from the same time last year when 198 units were sold. Mazda completed the top three with 54 vehicles sold - an increase of 3.8 per cent from last year's figure when 52 vehicles were registered. The Toyota Hiace beefed up Toyota sales, with 322 vehicles sold - an increase of 5.9 per cent on the 304 vehicles that were registered at the same time last year. The Nissan Caravan followed with 73 vehicles sold, a decrease of 16.1 per cent on 87 in April 2016. The Toyota Regius took out the third place, with 51 vehicles sold. This was a whopping 87 per cent increase on the same time last year when 28 vehicles were registered.  The biggest increase, in terms of sales, went to the Nissan NV350, which sold 14 vehicles, an increase of 366.7 per cent from three in the previous year. The Mitsubishi Canter also stood out, with a 275 per cent increase from four vehicles sold in April 2016 and 15 sold last month.
