US drifter stars in series

Posted on 01 September, 2015

The Demon Energy D1NZ National Drifting Championship Series will have an all-star line-up in the 2015/16 season with world-renowned American Formula D pro-drifter Ryan Tuerck set to compete at round two at Tauranga in January. Tuerck has been signed on to drive a wildcard 450Kw six-cylinder Toyota GT86 in the pro-championship with him being backed by parts specialist Toyotaz Galore. The D1NZ Toyota GT86 will have a number of high-profile guest drivers, such as Tuerck, behind the wheel during the season. Organiser Brendon White says: “Tuerck has such a huge international following, and he’s a great character and superb driver. “To have him compete in New Zealand helps grow our series on the world stage and we’re excited D1NZ drivers get to rub doors with the world’s best.” Tuerck is just as keen to experience D1NZ and rub shoulders – or panel and paint – with the best of the Kiwis. “I’m super-excited to travel back to New Zealand to battle door to door with some of the country’s best drivers under the lights of BayPark in D1NZ.” Visit www.D1NZ.com for more series information and a full season calendar.
