Subaru Impreza 2.0 Sport coming to NZ

Posted on 26 January, 2017

Details on the Impreza 2.0 Sport, including pricing, have been released by Subaru, New Zealand ahead of its launch next month. Inside the cabin, the Impreza contains an eight-inch touch-screen system with both Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. It also contains EyeSight driver assist technology. The 2.0 Sport will also have all-wheel drive and Subaru’s Lineartronic (Continuously Variable) Transmission, which can shift from automatic to manual with paddle shift controls. The unit features a short-pitch connecting chain and a smaller torque converter and drive plate, which Subaru says reduces weight and inertia. The direct injection 2.0-litre Boxer engine achieves 115 kW of power at 6000 rpm and 196 nM of torque at 4000 rpm. Pricing for the Impreza 2.0 will remain at $29,990. Subaru New Zealand managing director Wallis Dumper said a “volatile” and competitive market necessitated the unchanged price. The new Impreza will begin arriving in authorised Subaru dealerships from mid-February.
