Strong growth for marque

Posted on 18 February, 2015

Maserati has announced a 252 per cent increase in 2014 sales in the South-East Asia and Pacific regions compared to the same period last year. The growth was leveraged by the launch of the new Ghibli, accounting for just over 60 per cent of sales in the region, and the Quattroporte. The marque’s four-wheel-drive system Q4 was introduced last year and Maserati says demand for the system was strong in South Korea. The strongest-performing markets were South Korea, taking 36 per cent of Maserati’s sales in the region with an increase of 469 per cent, followed by New Zealand with a 400 per cent increase in sales and \Australia, where sales rose by 199 per cent. On a global level, Maserati sold about 36,500 units worldwide in 2014, an increase of 136 per cent compared to 2013 and almost six times its sales figure for 2012.
