Sporty SUV unveiled

The all-new Pajero Sport will join Mitsubishi New Zealand’s line-up in early 2016. Daniel Cook, head of sales and marketing strategy, says while the model will be sold in 90 countries, it has been tailor-made for New Zealand. The new-generation mid-sized SUV is built in Thailand and powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC turbo-diesel that’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission – Mitsubishi’s first. Active safety features include the blind-spot warning system, forward-collision mitigation braking, and four-camera all-round monitoring. The Pajero Sport also features an off-road mode for maximum traction and hill-descent control.
