Sopranos prop sold

Posted on 30 November, 2015

A 2003 Cadillac Escalade used during HBO television series, The Sopranos, has sold for around NZ$182,590 at auction. The SUV, which featured in the final three seasons of the show, was used for some action sequences and exterior shots, which involved characters including Tony Soprano, who was played by James Gandolfini. The late actor signed the inside of the Escalade in three places. Robert Livingston, executive vice-president of RR Auctions in Boston, says the car was “an instantly recognisable prop” from the show. A 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, which was used during the show’s first four seasons, previously sold for about NZ$168,640.
