Sales record may be set

It looks like the sales of new motor vehicles last month will come in at record levels. David Crawford, chief executive officer of the Motor Industry Association, told Autofile Online: “On provisional data, it looks like last month was the biggest June on record and will get close to 13,000 vehicles. Our records show there has only been four occasions that monthly sales have broken 13,000.” RELATED: Outback posts great results These are March 1982 with 13,279, March 1983 on 13,586, July 1984 with 13,983 – the biggest month on record, and August 1984 on 13,157.
