The eradication of Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs (BMSB) and Yellow Spotted Stink Bugs (YSSB) on the Courageous Ace and the Glovis Caravel in Singapore is progressing as planned, however the re-loading process for the two vessels has changed. All new cars, trucks and machinery from the Glovis Caravel will be transhipped on to the Courageous Ace. The Courageous Ace will now be carrying only new cargo into New Zealand. All used cars, trucks and machinery from the Courageous Ace will be transhipped onto the Glovis Caravel. The Glovis Caravel will be carrying only used cargo into New Zealand. NZ Customs are able to change any import declaration and duty already paid on cargo for the Courageous Ace to the Glovis Caravel without having to request a refund or resubmit import declarations. The Courageous Ace will depart Singapore on the 24th of March, and aims to reach Auckland by the 4th-6th of April. Pending the Ministry for Primary Industries' (MPI) inspections, the vessel aims to make its way around to Wellington, Lyttelton and Nelson, by the 8th, 9th and 10th of April, respectively. The Glovis Caravel will depart Singapore on the 27th of March and will reach Auckland by the 7th-9th of April. Also pending MPI's inspections, the vessel aims to reach Tauranga, Wellington, Lyttelton and Nelson, by the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th of April, respectively.
