Possible ESC exemptions for delayed vehicles

An exemption to the new requirements may be possible for used class MA vehicles (over 2000 cc) affected by the stink bug issue, if importers can prove a delay. Importers will need to provide evidence that their vehicles have been affected and cannot be border checked before 1 March. NZTA encourages all inspection providers to plan ahead for when vehicle processing resumes, and ensure standards are maintained.
