Panamera to have InnoDrive

Posted on 28 August, 2016

While the Panamera doesn’t yet have self-driving technology, it will debut Porsche’s InnoDrive driver aid. Stuff.co.nz reports that when the car is in adaptive cruise control, the technology uses a combination of GPS and mapping data, including topographical features, as well as traffic information and on-board sensors to scan the next three kilometres of road ahead. The Panamera then adapts its suspension systems and gear selections in advance. The InnoDrive system can also “read” speed signs as the car approaches towns and adjusts its speed automatically. The technology is currently only available in Europe, as motorists there have access to traffic information systems and topographical information that the technology needs.
