Old tyres focus of summit

An event is being held to discuss the future of end-of-life tyres (ELTs) in New Zealand. The 3R Group and WasteMINZ is organising the inaugural Tyre Industry Summit 2015, which is being supported by Bridgestone, Goodyear Dunlop and the Motor Trade Association. Adele Rose, chief executive of the 3R Group, says: “Together with our sponsors, we are seeking to achieve positive development of New Zealand’s emerging ELT industry through strengthening global relationships, facilitating collaboration, knowledge sharing between business sectors and championing best practice.” She says the event will appeal to a wide range of sectors, including tyre importers and retailers, ELT collectors and processors, investors in ELT opportunities, waste service providers, policy makers, consumer and industry organisations, and ELT operators and fleet generators. The summit is being held at the Crowne Plaza in Auckland from June 2-3. For more information, visit the 3R website and to register, log onto the WasteMINZ website.
