Kiwi pair take title

Posted on 14 March, 2016

Ian “Inky” Tulloch and John McIntyre claimed the win at MotorSport New Zealand’s three-hour endurance race. The Hampton Downs event saw the South Island pair cross the line first in a Tulloch Motorsport SaReNi Reiter Camaro GT3. Tulloch, who is a four-time NZ truck champion, says winning was “a great feeling”, adding that “there is nothing like having a New Zealand title.” McIntyre says the team worked well on the day, and adapted well to an additional stop. He adds: “ I think that was the strength of the team - the team were able to think on their feet and with a half-lap warning made the decision that got us to the finish, first. It was a big call”. The win is the start of a six events planned for the year, with a three-round North Island endurance series, followed by a further three-round endurance series in the South Island.
