Isuzu's new manager

Isuzu New Zealand has announced a new appointment for National Sales Manager. Originally senior manager of Mercedes-Benz truck and bus sales and service, David Ballantyne replaced Michael Doeg, who has gone on to become General Manager at Hino Truck Distributors. Well known in the industry, Ballantyne has worked with heavy diesel-powered commercial vehicles and earth-moving equipment. General manager of Isuzu New Zealand, Colin Muir, says Ballantyne has a particular skill-set which will be perfect for the role, as it combines his recent European product experience with Isuzu’s successful and proven model portfolio. Muir began his career in field service roles, progressed into sales then senior management positions including the position of general manager. "We’re excited to have him on board as he brings with him an absolute wealth of knowledge, experience as well as industry contacts," says Muir. Ballantyne will begin working for Isuzu in mid-September. “He joins Isuzu at a time of unprecedented growth in sales volumes and market share, and will be instrumental in further evolving the Isuzu Distribution and Sales Network".
