New Alfa Guilia coming to NZ next month

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is set to hit New Zealand next month, Alfa Romeo in New Zealand have announced. The order books are already open for the Quadrifoglio, which is the flagship of the Giulia range and currently holds the production sedan lap record at the Nurburgring, with seven minutes and 32 seconds. The supercar is powered by a 2.9-litre V6 engine generating 375kW of power and 600Nm of torque, and matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This configuration delivers 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 307km/h. The new rear-wheel drive system ensures minimal overhang and balanced weight distribution, and Alfa Romeo’s chassis domain control and active suspension adapts to real-time conditions based on acceleration and sensor data. This data feeds into the four driving modes are available on the Quadrifoglio. Drivers can switch between natural, dynamic, race and advanced efficiency modes, with the engine, suspension and rear-wheel drive chassis adjusting to the conditions. An integrated brake system combines stability control with a traditional servo brakes for an instantaneous response, a first for the Giulia range, and means the car can come to a complete standstill from 100 km/h in 32 metres. Pricing for the Giulia Quadrifoglio begins at $134,990 plus on-road costs. The first orders will be filled when the car arrives next month.
