Marque issues SUV recalls

Posted on 24 March, 2016

Volkswagen is calling back 800,000 SUVs worldwide due to a problem with the pedal system. The German company is recalling 391,000 Touaregs produced between 2011 and 2016, while its Porsche unit is calling back just over 409,000 Porsche Cayenne models produced in the same years. Volkswagen says the problem was detected in internal checks with “possible loosening of a retaining ring on the bearing block of the pedal system”. The company says it will contact owners of affected vehicles as soon as possible and that checks would take less than 30 minutes to complete.
