New R8 for anniversary

HSV have released a limited edition R8 ClubSport to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Restricted to 100 units for Australia and just eight for New Zealand, the 25th Anniversary ClubSport R8 picks up a number of styling extras and unique commemorative branding. The limited editions engine remains unchanged from the R8 Clubsport deriving 340kW and 570Nm friom a 6.2 litre V8. Upgrades to the limited edition include rapier forged alloy wheels in gloss black, a Hyperflow performance rear spoiler, pitch black exterior accents, shadow-chrome exhaust tips and special 25^th anniversary decals. Four colours will be offered: heron white, phantom black, sting red and nitrate silver. “Along with GTS, ClubSport has been one of the mainstays of the HSV line-up through its proud history”, says Tim Jackson, HSV managing director. “We’re sure the added value offered with the 25th Anniversary ClubSport R8 will be well received by our fans.” Retail pricing for the limited edition 25th Anniversary ClubSport R8 remains unchanged from that of the ClubSport R8 at $95,095. Production will begin in July.
