Hot Hyundai spotted

Posted on 14 July, 2016

The Hyundai i30 N hot hatch has been spied for the first time in its production body, whereas previous prototypes have used the current car’s body shell. When the car is launched it will be the first production vehicle from Hyundai’s N division – which was established in 2013, says caradvice.com. Compared with the bread-and-butter variants of the next-generation Hyundai i30 that were spotted in June, the i30 N has a new front bumper with larger air intakes, a prominent front splitter, and horizontally arrayed LED driving lights. Under the bonnet, the i30 N is expected to feature a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder engine producing between 180 and 195 kilowatts of power. At launch, this motor will be paired with a six-speed manual. The pedestrian versions of the i30 are expected to make their debut at this year’s Paris motor show at the beginning of October. Although the i30 N was originally slated for a 2018 launch, recent reports indicate that its debut has been moved forward to 2017.
