Electronic logbook launched

Posted on 23 July, 2014

Logmate, an electronic logbook system, has been approved by the NZTA. It’s available as an iPhone and Android app, and is one of the first mobile applications approved by agency to replace paper logbooks. “Having electronic logbooks makes it easier for drivers and transport companies to comply with the work-time and logbook requirements,” says Greg McDowell, managing director of Logmate. “The application simplifies work-time entries by saving driver details, leveraging smartphone GPS and date-time capabilities to enable driver to log a day’s activity at the press of a button. The app also reminds and informs drivers as obligations arise.”
