Elantra pushing China sales

Posted on 26 May, 2016

Hyundai Motor Company enjoyed stronger sales year-on-year in April, with two marques making a major impact. Hyundai sold 96,222 vehicles in China last month, mainly thanks to the upgraded Elantra compact sedan and Tucson crossover. The Elantra hit the market in March, with 14,644 sales in April 2016. The Tucson has been on sale six months longer – and in April, deliveries of the crossover and its previous generation nearly hit 17,300. However, Kia Motors’ April number dropped to 50,156 – down 10 per cent from the same month last year. It is hoping the recently launched KX5 crossover will help to boost those figures.
