Classic vehicles on show

Thousands of people packed the main street in Waihi on Wednesday to see some of the best classic cars in New Zealand, as part of the Whangamata Beach Hop. Natalie Beckham, of Trade Me Motors, was there to admire the vehicles and checked in with Autofile to share her take on the event.

“Just another day in paradise, Waihi turns on the sunshine as they welcome car enthusiasts from near and far for the annual Beach Hop warm up party. Classic cars line the streets while rock and roll music fills the air waves. The atmosphere never disappoints, from the 1950’s rockabilly dress theme to the men’s drag race event held on the main street. Everyone is there to enjoy themselves and admire the hard work that many have put into restoring their classic machines.”
