German ute revealed

Mercedes-Benz’s upcoming ute will be based on Nissan’s new Navara. A joint statement released by Daimler and the Renault-Nissan alliance says the upcoming models will be a dual-cab offering with the ability to carry a one-tonne load. The axels, frames and body structure will reportedly carry over from the Navara, but the Mercedes-Benz will feature unique styling and brand-specific engines. A spokesman from the German marque says its utility will be offered with three equipment levels tentatively known as "workhorse, dual use and leisure and family”, and claims it will exceed typical pick-up standards.
