Posted on 19 February, 2017

Nissan New Zealand has announced the 2017 Pathfinder range will be on sale in New Zealand from April, and will include an engine upgrade and new safety and driver-assistance technologies. The seven-seater SUV will have two- and- four-wheel drive options, with three model grades – the ST, the ST-L and the Ti – in the range. All options contain the improved 3.5-litre direct-injected V6 petrol engine, which generates 202 kW of power and 340Nm of torque. The fuel economy in the two-wheel drive has been rated 9.9L/100km, and the four-wheel drive 10.1L/100km. All three models contain the third-generation Xtronic CVT transmission, and handling has also improved slightly, with stiffer suspension and a quicker steering response. Safety and driver-assistance technology has been upgraded across the range. The ST contains a reversing camera with rear-parking sensors. The ST-L contains these standard features as well as an all-view monitor and moving object detection. The Ti model grade contains the most extensive safety features, with intelligent emergency braking, forward collision warning, intelligent cruise control, blind-spot warning and rear-cross traffic alert included with standard safety technology. The Nissan Pathfinder range will be available in New Zealand showrooms from April, with pricing details to come closer to launch.
